An instrumental inspired by early to mid period Genesis. The use of multi- layered acoustic 12 string guitars, keyboard, keyboard bass sounds and dreamy e-bow gives this tune an instant nostalgic Prog Rock sound.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
Greek and Roman Mythology was a 'go to' place for inspiration on early Peter Gabriel / Steve Hackett period of Genesis recordings. Here I've taken the story of Narcissus and Echo as the starting point for this instrumental. As you'll know, Narcissus rejected Echo in favour of his own reflection in a pool. To further enhance the dreamy quality of the tune I've included the sound of lapping water.

Very interesting tune, David. i like the way you build it up , with more an more layers piling. Very nice guitar work and great shift in feeling around the middle part.Reminds me of psychedelic rock from the 1970's. i used to listen to that a lot. Love that leslie effect on the guitar at the last part. Great stuff!

I'd say this is giving me LSD flashbacks, but I really never stopped tripping. But I am enjoying it. Mr Trippy, Mr Whippy.

A very creative track David. Not at all boring but captivating. Extremely high quality material. 5 stars from me.

Love the dreamy ocean of the reverbs surrounding the main theme. Also,I think it's e-bow that's kinda sliding there (I myself have no experience with e-bow,so I can only guess)..is of my liking.I think I'm hearing a water flow/bulbing there...interesting! Like your experimental approach overally. It gives a food for the brain.Way to go !

Brilliant stuff! The music captures the story perfectly - very atmospheric and soulful, excellent mix & production. I can definitely hear the Genesis elements in this song. The guitar work gives it a lot of emotion & passion. I think you've nailed every aspect of this track! Lovin' the sound you're getting with your recording gear!
