Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
In 1974 I was with a girl I rather fancied. She invited me to her place on a glorious Sunday afternoon, and then we proceeded to get plastered. As the afternoon wore on I thought my luck was in, but she passed out. So that was that.
Lyrics
She feels so good, and it put her in the party mood She feels so fine, she'll have another glass of wine And then she laughs, and says she'll have another half So when she smiles, you know you're gonna wait a while Living years to every day, trusting fate to show the way she runs Like a rushing tide, following the flow inside to me Then she takes my hand, and tries to help me understand the flow And which way it goes She feels so good, it's put her in the party mood She feels so fine, she'll have another glass of wine She has a laugh, and says she'll have another half So when she smiles, you know you're gonna wait a while You realise she needs a shrink, but you don't tell her what you think just now Sitting in the sun, hoping that you'll have some fun tonight Then she drops her glass, and you can see she's going to pass out cold And you thought you just scored But she felt so good, and it put her in the party mood She felt so fine, she had another glass of wine And then she laughed, as she polished off another half Now when she smiles, you know you're gonna wait a while...
